Following the Light in the midst of Darkness

Rev. Gabriel Esrom

‘The beginning of the walk of light is loving the Lord. The operations of God cannot be orchestrated in a man who does not love the Lord.’ And God showed us through his servant, Rev Gabriel Esrom, the gains in following the light we have and progressing to higher levels of the light through following.

Gen. 1:1-2

At the first God made the heaven and the earth. And the earth was waste and without form; and it was dark on the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God was moving on the face of the waters.

The beginning is God and the end also is God. God is raising us to Himself. The darkness that was upon the earth is a veil and the veil is designed to be removed. Light will not come without darkness being available. Darkness cannot stop the light because God himself is light. God said to me; ‘it is no difficult to walk in light’. There are levels of darkness. One thing that the light does is that it turns the course of a man. Your way is not good enough until light comes. When God gives you the light, He has given you what the devil cannot handle. The only true light is in God and you need it to live and conquer. When you lack light, you will die like a mere man.

Light increases the intensity in you as you draw closer. Be consistent with the measure of light you have and it will keep increasing. Light takes you from one level to a higher level, but at every level, there are peculiar challenges. The absence of God in anything you are doing is pure darkness. Man was veiled from seeing the light of God in the beginning but God is opening that light to us in our days. The devil wants you to believe what is not and any man that believes what is not cannot walk in the light. The world is a system that is working for you not to see the light but to keep turning around in a circle. Any man that fails to walk in the light is naked.

Psalm 24:1-4

A Psalm. Of David. The earth is the Lord’s, with all its wealth; the world and all the people living in it. For by him it was based on the seas, and made strong on the deep rivers. Who may go up into the hill of the Lord? and who may come into his holy place? He who has clean hands and a true heart; whose desire has not gone out to foolish things, who has not taken a false oath.

Light dwells in the hill of the Lord. The souls of men are meant to be lifted always. Your soul will manifest whatever schools it, but god has raised us to manifest Himself. You must come to a point in your life where you don’t assume anything because the devil takes advantage of assumptions in the souls of men. Do not jump the queue but be consistent in the course of light that is set before you. God wants to test your faithfulness to a measure of light before He can promote you to a higher measure of light. So it is needed that you are ready to give yourself to what you are hearing because that is the beauty of it. There is gain in following. You cannot desire light and still desire the world. If you give all to God, much more will be given to you. For you walk in light, you have to walk in obedience. By virtue of obedience, light comes to you. Light does not come by just sitting and hearing or meditating, light comes through service. God called Joshua because he had served Moses. Elisha came into light by serving Elijah. Only a bad father does not desire His son to be higher than him. Light appears anywhere God is because He Himself is the light. If you can deal with vanity in your heart, light will come to you. Vanity is not only material things; it’s also in the heart. When you walk consciously in the light, your own light becomes light for others around you. Desire to walk in the light even if nobody does.
