The appearing of the Lord

Rev. Busuyi Olabode

The Lord is coming. ‘Behold He comes’. John greeted the seven churches and I believe the greetings are also for the Churches of Jesus Christ. He greeted with grace and peace. There is no better greeting!

When the Lord comes, we should know that He has various comings. Even before He showed up in the manger, He had shown up severally. He has been invisible for so long a time to His creatures until He showed to men in diverse ways. To some, Olodumare, to some others Chineke. God’s greatest joy is His manifestation and appearance. God decides to communicate Himself in batches and various manners but His greatest joy is total manifestation. And this is made possible through the gospel. The gospel is not that we might just preach Him, but also manifest Him. We are to bear Him; the message. The commission of declaring the Lord is bearing the message (The Gospel). This is the way He has designed our salvation. This salvation is transformation by the gospel; a salvation to the uttermost. His appearing in the last days is for salvation. He is designed to save. His appearance and design is to save. Waiting for God is something we need to do to be able to see His coming.

Those who have not followed on to the end of salvation have not conquered the heavenly life. They conquered the terrestrial and have hope in the earth but to us who will be saved totally, we will see His appearance and have His revelation; living the life of the heavenlies.

Now, there is no end to the appearing of the Lord. Rapture is not the issue here; in fact it was not used originally. The unveiling of Him is for that we can see Him. He has a graduation of how we see Him. First, there are clouds of witnesses. Clouds are not just what we see in the sky. The way we see pictures of His ascendance is not the way it is. The clouds are dignitaries that received Him into the Heavens. Elijah had a chariot of fire, how much more the Son! The taking here, of Elijah, is another realm of glory. He was taken with chariots that gave him his clothing but the Christ was taken with a cloud of witnesses, His clothing for a time.

We are not to relate with one another after the flesh because the flesh is confusing. On the mount of transfiguration, His real clothing descended or rather busted out from inside Him and changed His dignitaries also; Elijah and Moses appeared with Him in glory. They appeared with Him and started to discuss issues of His resurrection. And as this was on going, a voice came that He should be heard with the Law and Prophets as witnesses. That is why He must be heard also, by the Law and Prophets. Even today, the mystery of Christ is preached by the scripts of the prophets and the law. Witnesses are required for God’s revealing. God is still choosing witnesses.

God is a darling savior; beautiful savior and a compassionate one. He always does good and the good He is doing now is salvation and He keeps saving. Even as He is doing for Boko Haram, in the Middle East and where we think have been darkened and cannot reach light.

Zechariah 3:8

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

Psalm 45:7

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

There were fellows with Joshua who bore and wore the same garment Joshua wore: a filthy garment. And these ones do not have what it takes to approach the throne of God. And as he was cleansed, he was made to be a mediator between Israel and God. And He told Joshua that the ministry he stands in will be done much more easily by a branch. This branch is the Son. And when He came, He was seen as a messenger.

In the realm of the spirit, we must not be naked. Clothing is being ministered to us that we will not be ashamed of the gospel. When you are ashamed, it is a sign that you are naked and when you are naked, you are ashamed.  Our righteousness is a clothing but this clothing is FILTHY. Some people talk and when their speech is taken to another higher real, they stink. So, Joshua was clothed in such a way that he can sit with higher beings. In that realm of life, there are fellows; no one is recognized as higher. Lucifer said He will ascend beyond the clouds; the fellows and this was inequity.

The Old Testament we know is actually an intermediary, one between the real old one and the New. Moses was a really high prophet of a high ranking and quality but still lower than Jesus who came after the flesh was made as one of the fellows until resurrection distinguished Him. He clothed Himself with the garments of servants like Moses and Elijah and humbled Himself even though he was the Lord of all.

Zechariah 3:8

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

Zechariah 3::9

For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Jesus has been a Stone, before Abraham, Moses and Joshua. And the branch, which is the Stone is saddled with the responsibility of removing the inequity of the land in one day. He is the one that can take away inequity. Death is strong, only that life is stronger, in fact, it can be such that as life comes, it gains more strength. This is why it is said that He is giving Life, more abundant.

The one stone has seven eyes. It has a ministry of cleansing of seven. And anyone who believes in Him is a precious stone just like the one who they believe. If we stop to praise Him, He said other stones will come out to praise Him. So, this stone which also is the Branch has seven eyes and is poised to remove the inequity of the land in one day. But Joshua, when asked what he saw, said he saw a candlestick of gold with a bowl of seven pipes and seven lamps. (Zechariah 4:2) All the lamps were taking their source from the bowl.

The Lord is removing inequity and He showed this to Joshua as a candlestick. The candle is a person as  said in Matthew 5:16. And Jesus came as a candle seen by Joshua in Zechariah, with a bowl which is a cap. This signifies the bowl, which is a cap, as completeness. The candle was a stature and this stature is Jesus. This candle, when lighted can be seen also as the eye. When you change the position or alignment of a candle light, it becomes a light. And this light or eye, is the eye of the Lord searching through.

Holiness is something that is not easy. Not man’s holiness but the holiness higher than the heavens. The holiness of the Lord is the seven eyes. When this eyes pierce something, it looks and cuts through like a laser.

Without the expression of the seven eyes, there is no salvation. The nature of the eye is in the sight of the eye. So, when you see the Lord, you behold His eyes and thus, His nature. Yorubas will say ‘oju l’oro wa’. Meaning ‘in the eyes are communications made’ so, the only way of Him to help us or save us is beholding Him. Hearing His voice and knowing His will. The eyes of the Ephesian church in Revelation 2:6 by the prayers Paul taught them have been oiled to see as the Lord does. This light takes away all your inequity and all your struggle of many years in one day. And so, we should seek His face.

I can feel You

I can see You calling me

For love.

All the objects in Isaiah 11 were altered by the call and touch of God. The creatures there were lightened by His face. When we see the light of His face, we see His eyes.

We will see His passion, His commitment, His love, His eyes. We will also hear the cry of the Branch as He calls us to love. We see the Lord touching our heart, our emotions, our thinking, our minds, our mindsets, our positions. The love of God will shine in our hearts.
