1. What is the Faith?
How can we contend for the Faith Jesus hopes to meet on the earth?
Faith is a life. Faith is believing in the unseen and it has several types. There is a faith of man which has its object as man. The Faith is of God. It is an agenda God has prepared for man to move into for salvation. It has it beginning and end. The Faith is the life of God made known to man. It has a substance. It is the making known or manifestation of what God says is right through Jesus. It is the making known of Righteousness.
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
Contending for the Faith is fighting or doing all you can to keep the Faith. This starts by going through the discipline of hearing and to keep on following the revelation of the Faith. Contending for this Faith is to show that you are no longer of this earth. It is living daily by the revelation of the Faith and defining the present moment by this revelation. Believing is needed to live this Life. You cannot contend for what we do not understand. Answering or preaching is the gospel power and one of the ways we contend for the Faith. This interprets the Faith and transfers it to others.
2. Why is it that the leading of the Spirit is always against man’s will?
God’s will is strange to man and will continually come to crush that which we call our own. This will eventually bring us to that point where we are one with God’s will. Our will is to be crucified by God’s will because it is earthly. He gave the will in the first place so that man can make a choice. So, if one made the choice to follow God, he has agreed to submit his own will to God’s will in all things. The leading of the Spirit against our own will is therefore for us to attain Sonship and come to that realm of love which Christ attained that made God unable to look away from Him.
Let us pray so that we will come to that realm where we will be pleasing to the father; that realm where we will be willingly subjected to the will of the father. We all have to be subjected to the will of the father which is the death of the cross. We will have to willingly submit to the will of the father which will be birthed by the love for the father.
