Spiritual worship is not in the embellishment of instrumentation. Before those things came, there has been spiritual worship. When we are born-again, we have a platform to go back to spiritual worship. It begins in the Spirit and by faith. You do not feel nor sense it, you do it by Faith. If we are born of God then we are born to worship.

Worship is a holy thing. It is only our spirit that can render true worship to God. The heart needs cleansing to offer it too. So, worship is to be from the spirit and the soul of man. Instruments are to be accompaniments of worship; they are not to initiate worship. True worship is initiated by the spirit and to be accompanied by the soul. As one receives a song by the spirit in its raw state, it becomes fine-tuned by the soul as it is being sung over and over again. Whatever worship that is not initiated in the spirit and backed up by the soul is not accepted. It is instruments that back up what the heart is saying.

The very content of worship is the Will of the Lord. The Spirit is a worshipper because it receives the Will of the Lord. That is why worship is of the Spirit. The greatest part of worship is dwelling on the word of Christ.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

The soul is what keeps song’s melody and lyrics unlike the spirit. When the soul receives the songs, they become ours. Our base must be loaded with the words of Christ. Singing is a natural thing for the recreated human spirit. The voice is a member of the soul. As Christians, we are sons of the Spirit and by the thought of the Spirit coming to us, we can sing in the Spirit. The Spirit wants to hear the song from your spirit and your soul awaits to sing along. The way to worship in the Spirit or the way we can become again the people that bring God spiritual sacrifice is by feeding ourselves with the word of God, listening to messages and waiting on the Spirit.

Halleluyah! We can now worship God in spirit and truth as He has always wanted to be worshipped.
