God is set to do us good. This gathering is a gathering unto God and unto His goodness. We prayed a lot during the preparatory prayers towards this Convention, and God moved in our midst. These seven days are going to be wonderful. During one of the days of Convention prayers, God said He loves man. The Lord whispered in my heart later again that He loves man: this meeting is a declaration of God’s love to man.
The issue of image has been one issue with the Father. ‘In the beginning God said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness” (Gen 1:26). God has always longed to make man in His image and likeness; but later, another image came which was not God’s image, and it filled the earth. We see the manifestation of that strange image all over the earth, even up till now. That image manifested the adversary; that image is evil, bad and wicked, and the enemy will do everything he can to prevent man from becoming that which God wants.
The inheritance that is eternal, that will remain with man is this image of The Father. Man bearing the image of God is an offshoot of God’s love to man. This is the only image that can survive the evil of the world. Bearing the image of God is the project that every man should seek to carry out on the earth. The reason why Jesus Christ has to be declared is because He is the image of the invisible God. The declaration and the preaching of Jesus Christ is to return us into that image. Every man, especially the Believers here have been pre-destinated to bear this image. We do not understand this image until we understand WHO the Lord Jesus Christ is. He is the only man that can enter the presence of God. He is the one Whom we are to inherit.
There is need to follow Him in order to become like Him. This is the project God has on the earth. He wants to fill the earth with His knowledge like the waters cover the sea. The knowledge of God is necessary for men to change and be made because God wants to fill the earth with men who will bear the image of the Father. We should not manifest any other image than the image of Christ. That is the reason for the church. These days, people go to church but this image is not being formed in them. Irrespective of tongue speaking and gifts manifestation, God wants us to inherit that image. He is coming for a glorious church, and where there is glory, there is image.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
God had that purpose from the beginning because He loves man. He chose to dwell amongst men, ‘heaven is my throne, the earth is my footstool, where is the place of my rest?’ (Isaiah 66:1)…He does not want to rest in any other place but in man. He loves men and dwells amongst them: He dwells among those who bear His image. Before you got born again, God had already determined your end and that end is His IMAGE. Whatever destiny we choose for ourselves is not the image: THE ONE WHO ALONE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY IS THE LORD YOUR CREATOR, and that destiny has already been determined in Christ Jesus. This is the reason for the new birth – to acquire a new image. We have been ordained to put on the new man which is created after righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24).
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified;those he justified, he also glorified.
Image cannot be separated from glory. As we have been predestinated for image, we are also meant for glory. when image comes, glory comes also. The church has to come into this because Jesus Christ is not coming for a church that has not put on the glory of the First Begotten, and the more of His image we acquire, the closer we are to Him. The image is already in our spirits but our souls still have the nature of satan. That soul needs to be changed because God wants to adopt man. Only those who bear this image can become the people of God and God will be their God. The image is crafted with spirits; ministrations of righteousness are used to craft image in us so that when we are looked at Christ is the image that will be seen.
The Lord God is Father only to those who have borne the image of His Son. The Lord wants to adopt us by remodelling His figure in our souls. We are His people and He is our God. He is a place of refuge as He is referred to as the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Who became the image of the invisible God. This is what the bible calls inheritance. He has called us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. This is our inheritance: THE IMAGE.
2 Corinthians 3:3
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
God loves man and did all this for man so that He can dwell with man. By the ministrations of the Spirit, people will become epistles of Christ. As the scripture says, we are the epistle not written by hands.
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
The New Testament contains the properties of the image. This image is unshakable and incorruptible. The properties of that inheritance are in heaven; that is why the scripture says, set your affection on things above and not on things beneath”(Colossians 3:2). The more image you acquire, the more glory we acquire.
2 Corinthians 3:18
A lot of dangerous images will be changed these seven days, as we are going to behold by the reason of the ministrations that will come to us; and as we BEHOLD, we will BECOME. There are many reasons for a man to be distracted. Several times God shows us why the distraction has to come but there is a need for us not to allow them. The devil is bad and can distract us with a lot of things. We have to keep our focus on beholding with an open face the glory of the Lord so that we will be changed into this same image from glory to glory. As we change and acquire glory, He keeps coming. In this convention we will change and go back with Their glory, not the one we came with. Our prayers should be, “Oh God, change my heart and bring me to glory!”
There are things we should not escape: we should allow the Spirit of the Lord eliminate every dangerous image inside of us. We must cry that the Lord will make us focus on Him, for it is by doing so that we are changed. The Spirit will be so much available these seven days and we will see encounters, for these words will come by power. We will hear, and we will be healed of our shortcomings [Amen!]. We do not know so many of these shortcomings: and we do not even see the Lord as we should, but the Lord will open our eyes and we will no longer be comfortable with any other image inside of us. Those are things that have robbed us of God’s image, but by the end of this meeting, there will not be those kinds of image again. The Lord will do a quick and short work;
we will see Him and be changed. We have come to meet with God, and we pray we will not be distracted in Jesus’ name, amen!
Thank you Father for removing things that are not supposed to be there in us, and filling us with the things that ought to be there. AMEN!
