THE DISCIPLINE AND TRAINING OF THE LAW!

d law

1 Kings 2:1-4

Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,

I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;

And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, thSat thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

It is the responsibility of man as an angel of God to bring order and restoration to the world. God does not look at the external of man but at the internal, that is, who he is on the inside. There is something in man that is much more precious than the body: the heart (a vessel) that is in the interest of God. The heart itself is man. God owns the mind and spirit and He will inherit the soul but the soul must be upgraded to enable it live in Eternity. The soul is so precious to God because it came to existence by His breath (Genesis 2:7).

Death in the spirit was inherited by Adam and it moved on to the soul. Jesus came to purchase the soul which had inherited death since the fall in order to enable it inherit righteousness.

1 Peter 1:17

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Every work that the soul has wrought after the fall is all dead works; works that cannot make men come to God.  (Hebrews 9:14,’ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?). One of the greatest things that will happen to us after God has fully wrought his work in us is that we would be able to offer up living sacrifices and serve the Living God. The greatest revelation of God is that He is the God of Life and of the Living. He alone gives capacity to live and everything that man does come to the realm of Eternal Living that the earth cannot expire. The fathers are unhappy when children manhandle the works they have wrought.

The unseen/ invisible is what makes a thing relevant. It is not about what we can do with our hands (externally) but about who we are (internally). God is not interested in our sacrifice, but in our obedience. He wants us to align with His divine intention because he is restoring man back to what man should be in His intention.

1 Kings 2:1-3

Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,

I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;

And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

King David had the right concept of what a man should look like, which we have not grasped or laid hold on in this generation. This generation uses men to fill up their own lust and wanton desires as well as to amass treasures that are corruptible. The treasure of Life is within; who we are is our identity. The heart can be a treasure. The concept of a man must be well defined. A man is the one who has the Lord as his God; a representative of the law of God on the earth. God’s treasures are hidden and are not the external/ outward appearances. His treasure is in the heart. God invested in Jesus for thirty years in preparation for his three years ministry on earth: a ministry which was invisible and could not be seen by mere/ordinary men.

God knows what is of value; that which truly matters. You learn commandment by what you go through. Your heart is developed when you decide to begin to obey God. As long as you are committed to God, He will not forsake you (Psalm 23:4, 125:1). God does not leave His people.

God is for His Will and He is with anyone who stands for His Will. Believing Jesus is a spiritual transportation (Colossians 1:13). Church is all about God and His people. God’s interest in Israel was not for them par say, but for the heritage of the earth. God gave Israel the law so as to ensure that what is being produced was of God, as anything that will bear God’s commitment must be of the law.

For God to say a heart is good, that heart must be connected to what God is connected to. God will not judge an unbeliever the same way he would judge the believer because they don’t have the law but the law of their conscience. The Jewish man has an heritage; the law. God does not overlook any good quality we possess. No heart is good; it is the commandment that makes the heart good. It is man’s response to the commandment that becomes his portion (Psalm 19:7).

What you do to the law is what determines the future/hope of the soul. What we are hearing is not empty; it has life and power to change. It is only our reacting to the word that can hinder the expected change in the soul.

Prophecy

Behold I grant unto you entrance into the door and the light. The door is a door of conversion and it is for you to gain my glory and that is why I am sending light for you to carry my glory. For as you hear that which is for you, you will begin to come to me. My light is a light that alters and you must receive my light and allow it abide in you.

He is sending mercy and it is due time for glory. He won’t rest until there is alteration. It is a moment of recreation and formation. There is a new reality, a new face. The face of the Lord God is shining forth. The Lord will place his name and authority upon us by reason of the process. It is time for those that seek God to wait for it. They will press into life and the reality of the spoken word. A new and different people, a peculiar people who are men with a different sight and passion will I raise.

1 King 14:7-8

Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,

And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;

The Law was the heart of the Lord. The tablet is the place of God’s illumination (Psalm 19:8) as the Lord’s face reflects in the tablet of stones in the Ark. The Law enlightens. The temple isn’t the source but the Law because the Law is not physical but spiritual (1 Chronicle 28:11, 19). All the Law is one. God is not the God of equality but the God of equity.

The Word of God is both Spirit and letter. Knowing the letter is not tantamount to knowing the Spirit. The bible is the guidance or witness to Life. The portion of those who wait upon the Law is Life. David brought in a tabernacle that was a picture of the shadow of the New Testament (Amos 9:11, Acts 7:45-50).

The summary of David’s walk with God was in the handing over of the accurate pattern of the temple to His son to build. You can’t arrive to the point where you will do all of God’s Will in one day; it is a product of daily obedience to the Law.

We would have to be tried through many afflictions/trials. What makes you a man is your will. The will of man is his essence, purpose and ego and that is what God wants to take over. The Law is the tool for this conversion (Isaiah 48:10).

Philippians 2:9. The vehicle for getting things done on earth as it is in heaven is the heart. Jesus was not endowed but was made into what He is. The angels also have their own will. The process of our training should take us through crucifixion. The New Testament is aimed at training us on our how to break our will. To live is to be crucified. Colossians 2:20; Galatians 5:21; Romans 8:1-2. The process of making is the process of writing the Law in the heart. Jeremiah 31:34. Revelation 3:12.

We pray that the Lord will help us surrender to His Will completely. Amen!
