We pray that the light of the Lord will flood our souls.
Luke 8:11-18, ‘Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience. “No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.”
How we are going to hear during this meeting will determine how much fruit we will bear. We pray that we will receive grace to hear in a way that will bring forth fruits in Jesus name. Oh that the Lord will bring us to maturity and help us to grow up.
If our hearts can only desire the Lord, if our hearts can be made good, humble, broken and contrite…, oh Lord we pray that you will empty us of ourselves and whatever knowledge we have. We pray that the Lord will consecrate us and deliver us of our own righteousness.
We pray to receive grace to lose every knowledge and righteousness we have always known. The Lord will focus his light on the darkness in our souls; that he will rip us of darkness and open us up to light; that the Lord will consecrate and purify our souls for that which he wants to do.
Oh Lord, purge us Lord that we may have great expanse of space in our souls; enlarge us for light and righteousness.
We receive strength to stand and fight every battle against us; strength to withstand the wiles of the devil and strength not to be tired of upholding righteousness.
We pray that our souls will continually take nourishment from the head.
We pray for all the ministers of the word that they will not be distracted by legitimate needs; they will be filled with the Spirit; no kind of flesh is allowed no matter its form and they will see far as they lift up their eyes to heaven.
We pray that the atmosphere will be thick with the Spirit and there will not be space for offences. We pray that everyone no matter where they will be either within or outside the meeting or whatever they will be doing will connect. We receive grace to be one and whole that we may receive from the Lord. We pray that the words the Lord will speak will burn every heart and saturate our souls; that the doors of faith will be opened. Amen
